2. General Information

We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). This policy explains what data we collect, for what purpose, on which legal basis, and how long we store it.

3. Hosting

Our website is hosted by Squarespace Ireland Limited, Squarespace House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland. When you visit the website, Squarespace automatically collects log data such as IP address, browser type and access time.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

Squarespace is part of a group headquartered in the USA. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and the certification of Squarespace, Inc. under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Squarespace.

4. Server Log Files

When you visit the website, the following data is collected automatically: IP address, date and time, browser type, operating system, referrer URL. This data is used exclusively for technical provision and security purposes and is not combined with other data sources.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Retention: log data is deleted by Squarespace in accordance with its retention cycles, generally within 30 days.

5. Contact Form and Enquiries

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, content of the enquiry) in order to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling of general enquiries).

Retention: enquiries are deleted six months after final processing unless a contractual relationship follows. If a contract is concluded, statutory retention periods of up to ten years apply (Sec. 147 German Fiscal Code, Sec. 257 German Commercial Code).

6. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send you information about our services. Dispatch is handled via Squarespace Email Campaigns.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link contained in every email. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Retention: until you withdraw your consent. After unsubscribing, we keep your email address on a suppression list for up to three years to be able to demonstrate your previous consent (Art. 5(2) GDPR).

7. Analytics and Tracking

Squarespace Analytics: We use Squarespace's built-in analytics to evaluate how the website is used (pages visited, time spent, approximate origin).

Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 25(1) TDDDG, given via our cookie banner.

Google Search Console: We use Google Search Console to monitor how our website appears in Google Search. Google does not process personal data of our website visitors for this purpose but provides us with aggregated search statistics. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in optimising our website).

Google Ads Conversion Tracking: We use Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. If you click on one of our ads, Google sets a cookie that allows us to see whether you visit certain pages of our website. Provider: Google Ireland Limited.

Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 25(1) TDDDG, given via our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.

Third-country transfers: Google services may involve transfers to servers of Google LLC in the USA. These transfers are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google LLC's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention: conversion cookies generally expire after 90 days.

8. Cookies and Consent Management

Our website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of Sec. 25(2) TDDDG. All other cookies, in particular for analytics and advertising, are only set with your consent via the cookie banner (Sec. 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). 9. Social Media Profiles

We maintain company profiles on LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company), Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) and TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland). When you visit one of these profiles, the respective provider processes your data under its own responsibility in accordance with its privacy policy. With regard to profile statistics (insights), we are jointly responsible with the respective provider within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR.

Legal basis for our profiles: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (public presence and communication).

If you contact us via these platforms, we process your messages in order to handle your enquiry.

10. Retention

Unless a more specific period is stated in this policy, we store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We then delete the data unless statutory retention obligations of six years (Sec. 257 German Commercial Code) or ten years (Sec. 147 German Fiscal Code) prevent deletion. In that case, processing is restricted until the period expires.
